Dusty Baker signs a 2-year extension

The biggest question of the Reds offseason has already been answered.  Manager Dusty Baker has agreed to a two-year contract extension.

This move will be scrutinized beyond belief.  Baker’s lineups and personnel decisions are the fuel to a daily inferno on Facebook and Twitter.  I fully support extending Baker’s contract.  At the big league level, managing personalities and egos over a 7-8 month span is probably the most important part of the job.  The players love Dusty Baker, and that’s good enough for me.

Besides, I have already committed to coach the 8u Columbus Cobras for the 2013 season.
