Brewers 15, Reds 3
I guess I could have come up with a creative title. How about this?
Arroyoooooooo….noooooooooo……
The Reds starter was screwed, booed, tatooed and barbecued last night by the Brewers. He gave up nine runs on seven hits and saw his earned run average jump to 7.15. The hits were rockets…no ground balls with eyes finding a hole in the infield. Arroyo just got pounded.
Daniel Ray Herrera pitched three innings and gave up an unearned run. Mike Lincoln threw two scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to 10.22. David Weathers and Francisco Cordero each pitched a scoreless inning before Paul Janish closed it out. Yes, shortstop Paul Janish pitched the ninth inning.
There isn’t really anything else to say. These things happen. The great thing about baseball is that you get to come back the next day and do it all over again.
The Reds need a win tonight to get some momentum heading into the big weekend against the Cardinals. It will be Braden Looper (2-1) against Micah Owings (1-3).
